: Perfect location, friendly staff good food. Facilities are on point.
: Unfortunately the cleaning material had put me off on my first day and night My wife is pregnant not sure how safe that was for us to stay there the first night All the rooms were cleaned with the same product so changing rooms were not a solution. bathroom had some work done and not covered up but look other than this 2 matters place is on point.

: Stunning location. Beautiful views. Large property with lovely landscaped garden. Front of house staff were friendly and did their best to be accommodating under what were clearly trying conditions. Spa operation was exceptional. Clean, well appointed and very professional.
: Oh dear, where to begin. The root of the problems seems to be a housekeeping dept. with zero oversight or attention to detail. The result is a plethora of small issues which, in isolation, may seem petty, but which, when left unreported and/or unresolved, cease to be isolated issues. Taken in their entirety they smack of a lack of professional management resulting in an establishment that feels tired, tatty and generally run-down. For example, in the first room we were given (sold as a "superior suite"), the drawer front of one of the pedestals was loose and hanging askew; the curtains had several hooks missing, and the general ambiance was that of a self catering unit in a second rate caravan park. We were moved to a suite in the manor house which was a lot more comfortable. But there was still an accumulation of small maintenance issues. A light fitting hanging loose on the wall; mismatched lampshades; a broken deadbolt meant we couldn't open the window; a burst zip on a couch cushion; and a dangerously exposed multi-plug strip supplying the TV. Then there were operational issues. On arrival we struggled to turn the TV on only to find there were no batteries in the remote. On our 3rd morning we found that room service had taken our used towels the previous day but hadn't replaced them. And the rooms don't have phones so each of these needed a trip to reception to resolve it. And finally, I can't ignore the dining room where the chef seems to have been recruited from some truck stop greasy spoon. I've eaten in a few dodgy places in my time but this was another level of bad. From inedible fish cooked in rancid oil to almost raw vegetables; from tooth breaking bacon to fried eggs you could play Frisbee with; this hotel's dining experience left us feeling as though we were stuck in an episode of Ramsey's kitchen nightmares. Definitely to be avoided.
