: Location is beautiful, views are lovely, staff is SO nice. House is massive, plenty of space for a large group. The Cleaner came every day and took care of us, and the hosts answered our questions really quickly. Secure parking, clean pool. Power backups during load shedding (though they recommend no AC during power cuts).
: The house needs some repairs, which I think must be why it's so much more affordable than other large houses this close to the beach. Most showers are missing grout and drain slowly. Mine had moss growing where the grout was missing. The fence alarm went off two nights in a row, 3 times each, all around 2 am...which was incredibly loud and also scary (we didn't know if it was a legit alarm until it happened the second day at the same time). The hosts told us it was the neighbors, which it wasn't (caretaker eventually heard it and figured out how to fix it). The beds are very firm, which works for some people in our group and was hard on others There are Broken tiles on the exterior patio and warping wood on the deck that made for safety hazards. The towels are all stained by the washing machine (but there were tons of them which is so nice!). Beware a house is also being built across the street which means there's currently construction noise during the day. Overall I think it reflected the costs decently well, and we knew there was a reason it was comparatively affordable. Probably wouldn't stay again but it worked for what we needed!
